PALLANUOTO SERIE B: Quarta vittoria consecutiva per la PORTOFIORI SAN MAURO.

Un dato certo, dopo questa partita, è che mancano tre punti per raggiungere la quota salvezza. Obiettivo dichiarato ad inizio anno dalla dirigenza.

I risultati mostrano che ad oggi coach Christian Andrè ed i suoi ragazzi sono sulla strada giusta, con un filotto di quattro vittorie consecutive (record del girone 4) sono una delle formazioni di testa del campionato e come disse Rabelais: “l’appetito vien mangiando”…

Altre indicazioni, che fanno veramente piacere, sono il “trattamento” riservato dalle formazioni avversarie nell’affrontare la PORTOFIORI SAN MAURO, sempre come se si giocasse la partita della vita e le considerazioni espresse in tribuna da pubblico e addetti ai lavori. Ma ci sarà tempo e modo per tracciare bilanci.

La trasferta di Catania ci metteva di fronte un ACICASTELLO che in casa è veramente temibile, aveva ottenuto  fino a quel momento due vittorie su tre incontri e reso la vita difficile al quotatissimo CUS UNIME,  uscendo sconfitto da quell’incontro con una sola rete di scarto.

Per la PORTOFIORI SAN MAURO quest’incontro doveva essere un test di maturità e comprendere se fosse stata assimilata la lezione di Cosenza. L’inizio dell’incontro da parte dei padroni di casa è stato veemente, ma la reazione dei ragazzi di Andrè non si è fatta attendere. Il primo parziale si è chiuso sul 1-2 con i padroni di casa che sono passati per prima in vantaggio ma è stata anche l’ultima volta nel match.

Il secondo parziale ha mostrato ancora un equilibrio nel punteggio, merito di un ottima prestazione del portiere avversario Paternò che ha anche parato un rigore sul finire del tempo.

Nel terzo tempo la PORTOFIORI SAN MAURO prende le misure agli avversari ed inizia a giocare come sa segnando il break decisivo che li porta a più tre, condotta da uno strepitoso Ferdinando Gargiulo autore di quattro reti. A questo punto la partita si inasprisce, ma la reazione dei ragazzi di coach Andrè è quella giusta riuscendo, tra alti e bassi, a portare a casa la vittoria.

Tirando le somme al termine dell’incontro non si può che essere soddisfatti, anche se si è coscienti che il test di maturità è stato superato a metà.

Lavorando su questa strada siamo certi che nulla è precluso e possiamo dire che il “progetto giovani” del vivaio San Mauro sarà l’inchiostro per scrivere una pagina importante nella storia di questa giovanissima società.

WATERPOLO B SERIES: 4th Consecutive victory for PORTOFIORI SAN MAURO

After this match, it’s 3 points to go. This is the goal declared at start of the year by the leadership.

Results show that Coach Christian Andrè and his boys are on the right way, with 4 victories in one row ( record in 4th group) are one of the best teams in the championship.

Other news, that are really enjoyable, are the ‘’ treatment ‘’ reserved by other teams agains the PORTOFIORI SAN MAURO, always as if they’re playin the life match and obviously the public considerations. But there will always be time and way to make the right consideration.

The Catania match put us against the Acicastello team, which was really fearsome and until the match vs us scored 2 wins in three matchs, and made life hard for CUS UNIME, losing the match for 1 only point.

For PORTOFIORI SAN MAURO this match had to be a maturity test, in order to understand the errors  in Cosenza match. The start by homeboys was strong, but Andrè guys had a stonger reaction. The first quarter ended 1-2 for homeboys, but that was last time they had advantage.

Second quarter has shown once in a time the balance in the score, with a very good performance by their golakeepr Paternò who also warded off a penality.

In the 3rd quarter PORTOFIORI SANMAURO start foring the game, scoring a decisive goal, going +3 in the score, with an amazing FERDINANDO GARGIULO, who scored 4 goals. At this point match became really interesting but the reaction of Andrè guys is the right one, winning the match.

At the end of this match, we can say we are proud of what we’re doing, even if we still have to grow up more and improve. Working in this way we’re sure that the best still has to come and the San Mauro project for the young ones is the right way to write a very important page in the history of this very young society
